Producer, Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC),

Purpose of the position:

This position is responsible for overseeing all layout reviews, art work and photo issues with Category Advertising Analyst (CAA) at Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC). Specifically, the incumbent will be the liaison between CTC, CAA and the Studio to ensure the artwork that is required from CTC is properly addressed and also ensures that any updates or revisions requested from CTC is addressed promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews layouts when they are returned from Layout Review at CTC and addresses photo
issues/concerns with CAA at CTC.
• Checks the Vault for existing art that can be used on the layout.
• Orders merchandise for new photography via the Filemaker database.
• Enters photo instructions including group shots, lifestyle requirements, retags and
any special notes for Retail City.
• Liaison between CTC and TDS Studio for layout reviews.
• Responsible for checking photography submitted by studio and verifies image accuracy.
• Reviews Quality Check proof for image accuracy before page is shipped to CTC for review.
• Responsible for managing Data folders.
• Reviews Product & Copy proofs when returned from CTC and addresses any art changes,
including contacting the CAA for clarification if needed.
• Emails Art Checks to CAAs for approval for art not placed on the Product & Copy proofs.
• Reviews laser for Image Edit and makes necessary corrections.
• Places Image Edit lasers on production shelf when edits are complete.
• Reviews Final colour Epsons when they have been returned for Colour Review and addresses any art issues
if required and forwards pages to Image
• Edit if further edits are necessary.


Qualifications:

• Post secondary diploma or degree (or work experience equivalent) in the graphics, layout or pre press
or related industry with a focus on photography
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills
• Results-Oriented
