Parable is a wondrous and bizarre presence in the history of human civilization: We look for symbolic metaphors and myths in all kinds of figurative things, and for potential plausibility in ambiguous causal connections. Nowadays, our default scientific, geopolitical, ideological and human values are also constructing a parable of modern civilization and existence: it is not the answer to the riddle that matters, but the form in which the riddle is presented.
