This poster series is a call to action to bring humanitarian aid and awareness to the 2023-2024 genocide happening in Gaza, Palestine. Watermelon is grown across Palestine and has become an icon of resistance. Since 1967, the Israeli government has banned any public displays of the Palestinian flag. Sharing the same colours as their flag—red, green, white and black—the watermelon became a subtle method of protest against the suppression of Palestinian culture and identity.
