The Fall of the Childhood God is a 36 x 48 oil painting that is a commentary on the loss of childhood innocence. Set in a surrealist landscape, the mannequins are symbolic of societal expectations and standards. The knight, representing childhood innocence, makes a final, yet ultimately futile, stand against the oncoming army; a reflection of how as we mature, we must let our childhood God die and succumb to the harsh reality of life.
